Reverse Engineering
Reverse Engineering Capabilities
Fed up with suppliers going out of business, changing ownership and/or obsolescence challenges? UKC Group companies offer the following processes directly or outsourced providing a one-stop solution to ISO 9001 and AS 9100 Rev D standards:
Electronics Reverse Engineering
Rebuilding spares from working or non-working samples.
Rebuilding multilayer PCB boards, when schematics are no longer available.
Modernisation/re-design of PCB's allowing for the use of modern components where necessary, offering fully functional drop-in replacements.
From a non-working sample, we can provide a technical data pack including:
Full drawings.
X-ray reports.
Metallurgy lab report of sample.
Metallurgy lab report of metal used.
Stress testing, if required. Report supplied.
Finished product metallurgy lab report.
Finished product metallurgy lab report.
Certification and Warranty
This way, “obsolescence is a thing of the past”. You no longer need to worry about manufacturers going out of business. You own the data pack, you choose where to have your products made, but always having the peace of mind, that the data master will always stay with you.

Ceramic feed through NSN
5940-99-056-0057
- This feed through was last manufactured by our group company BSL over 20 years ago and the drawings were no longer available.
- CVC had the last known stock left worldwide.
- The parts were located and BOM prepared for re-manufacture.
- The metal was chemically analysed, CAD drawings were produced before the metal was machined.
- The units were sent to an overseas ceramic sealing specialist before being fired at 820 centigrade to sinter the glaze
- We now continue to supply these parts

8 Layer PCB board for Plessey Radar
- Last PCB available worldwide
- The board level components were removed and a BOM created
- Each layer was sliced/removed and a digital image taken
- Once all the layers were mapped a Gerber file was created
- The new board was re-populated with new surplus components
- We were then able to continue supplying this board for Plessey Radar
